Principle-Fitness & Pilates is searching for passionate individuals who share a love of physical fitness to apprentice with Advanced Pilates Teacher, Alexandra Prince. Join the next generation of Pilates leaders who bring wellness through practice to the East Valley communities of Arizona by becoming a Pilates teacher!
While helpful, no previous fitness teaching experience is required. Candidates must be capable of dedicating a minimum of 10 hours per month to teacher training in-studio through weekend workshops, personal practice (both in taking classes and practice-teaching), and observation. Due to the physical nature of Pilates, candidates must be cleared by a qualified medical professional as healthy and physically fit to participate in Pilates.
Aside from supplies (books, print-outs, binder) and the cost of attending classes (a considerable class discount will be given), candidates who complete the Pilates Teacher Apprenticeship will be expected to teach at Principle-Fitness & Pilates as “payment” for teacher-training. Whether it’s one class or client, or several, the purpose of the apprenticeship program is to foster professional, reliable, well-trained Pilates leaders to serve the clientele at Principle-Fitness & Pilates. Upon completion of a comprehensive apprenticeship, candidates will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to sit for the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) Teacher Certification Exam.
